Why FPGA for PQC Acceleration

PQC algorithms (e.g., CRYSTALS-Kyber, CRYSTALS-Dilithium) are highly compute-intensive and memory-access intensive. Executing them on traditional CPUs or GPUs often results in high latency, large power consumption, and inefficiency. Since CPU and GPU hardware architectures are fixed and highly generalized, they are difficult to optimize for specific cryptographic operations.
